Ratcha Anachak Thai (Kingdom of Thailand) The Kingdom of Thailand is a country in Southeast Asia. It shares borders with Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. The country is governed as konstutionelle monarchy with King Bhumibol Adulyadej as head of state, who was already appointed 1946 to the king. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and by far the largest city in the country also. 
The approximately 64.5 million inhabitants are 75% to about 15% Thai and Chinese. A Muslim minority, the Malays, who lives in southern Thailand. Buddhism is the dominant Religion of the country. The Thai migrated only in the 11 century to the present-day Thailand. They founded several kingdoms, which were combined in the following centuries. In the era of colonialism was able to maintain its independence. After the world war two, Thailand has often been ruled by the military, while it experienced an economic boom and became one of the economically leading nations of Southeast Asia. The national holiday in Thailand is on the 5th December and 10th birthday of the King December the Constitution.
